Scandinavian – Retail Food A/S was founded in 2003 with the mission to offer a wide range of exciting foreign foods within the segments of charcuterie and fresh doughs to the consumers in the Nordic market.
Who is Scandinavian - Retail Food?
Founded in 2003 we wanted to make it clear that we were targeting the Scandinavian retail market with our name: Scandinavian Retail Foood. Our name, however, was quickly shortened to SR, making us change the company name to SR Food.
Using this name, we felt that part of our history and identity were lost, because not many people knew what SR Food really meant. Due to this we reverted back to Scandinavian – Retail Food. We wanted to go ‘back to the beginning’ because our values and our mission always stayed the same. Our mission today is, and has always been: We want to offer a wide selection of exciting and tasty European foods of the highest quality to consumers in the Scandinavian market.
In 2003, we started importing cured meats and other specialties from Germany. Since then, we have expanded our product portfolio, and today we offer foods within the categories: Charcuterie & specialties, fresh dough, fresh pasta and dairy.
Today you find our range of foods in most retail stores and we are currently represented in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland.
What we do at Scandinavian - Retail Food
At Scandinavian – Retail Food, we offer quality products at reasonable prices. We are able to do this because we have no warehouse. Instead, we import the foods directly from our European suppliers and bring them straight to your business. This also means that no volume on your orders is too big or small when you do business with us.
We are constantly listening to the market and researching what the consumers are asking for. Our foods are therefore carefully selected to meet the needs of the consumers – whether it be for a quick snack on the go or a wholesome meal.
When trading with us, you can choose between a variety of brands. You can choose between: The suppliers’ own brands, private label brands, no name brands and licensed brands such as Oreo, Milka and Baileys.
At Scandinavian – Retail Food, a high level of food safety is important to us. Therefore, we only work with suppliers who are either BRC or IFS certified to ensure that you only get products of the highest quality
when doing trades with us.
